Gloria Bennefield was living next door when we moved into our present house on Westminster St. in 1986 and she was a wonderful neighbor, one of the best I've ever had. Her house was not large, but she'd raised ten children in it and it was always neat. It was her nature to be a good friend, and she was unfailingly ready to welcome someone and enjoy their company. But it was her face I most loved. It had a special way of being close and familiar, and when she passed I really missed her. I had known such comfort of her presence, I just had to bring something of it back.
