My first introduction to Eola was in the living room of Fini’sParis apartment on the rue de la Vrilliere. This is where it ‘lived.’ She never offered it for sale and it left her apartment only to be exhibited in museums and retrospectives. These included The Casino, in Knokke-le-Zoute, Belgium in 1965, the Palazzo Dei Diamanti in Ferrara, Italy in 1983 and The Musée du Luxembourg in Paris in 1986. Most recently this masterwork was part of the 2009 Leonor Fini - L’Italienne de Paris retrospective at the Revoltella Museo Civico d’Arte Moderna in Trieste, Italy.
